A Trip to Cameron Highlands

Last school holiday, my family and I went for a holiday to Cameron Highlands.   We left from our house at 6.00 in morning that is on Sunday and reached there by 12 in afternoon. At that day, we start our journey happily.  Cameron Highlands is located on north-west of Pahang due to this the journey from Penang to Cameron Highlands is about 5 hours. Cameron Highlands is the most popular and always frequented by both local and foreign tourists.  Besides that, it is strategic location makes it a favorite weekend escapade for urbanites from all over the country.

Visitors have to pass through small quaint town of Tapah.  Then, from Tapah it takes about an hour‘s drive to reach the highlands.  The road to Cameron Highlands is narrow roads and there are numerous hairpin bends so it becomes unnerving experience for me because I am faint-hearted person.  All the way up the hill, we saw beautiful lush greenery on the hill slopes. The scenery was really fascinating.

There were mushrooming of hotels and resorts for tourists. After that, my father check-in at the famous hotel in the heart of Cameron Highlands. Then, we took few hours nap in the room because we are tired straight travelling from Penang to Cameron Highlands.  First, we went to Cameron Bharat Tea farm because it will give difference change for those who long to get away from hustle and bustle of the city and concrete jungle like us.  Other than that, it was the most popular tea farm in Cameron Highlands.  The farm was very big. We took a lot of photographs because the view is very beautiful and look like overseas. My mother and my younger sister were busy buying all the tea flavor because the tea was my mother and my younger sister’s favourite.

Right after that, we visited to Rose farm.  My younger sister and I were so excited because we were really wanted to go to the Rose farm.  There were different types of colour and sizes of roses so it looks very attractive. We spent most of the time at the rose farm because for a long time we didn't visit the farm. My father and my mother bought many red and white colour roses because that is my father’s favourite colours.  Next, we went to strawberry garden to buy strawberries for my friends, Jayna who really likes to eat strawberry. We were allowed to pick the strawberry and also can eat them. We also tried the fresh strawberry with hot chocolate. It was so delectable and an amazing experience that cannot forget.

Right next to the hotels are hawker stalls which are flooded with ready-made clothes, souvenirs and goods.  So, my mother and I were browse among many stalls because the goods and souvenirs were sold with cheap price.  After browse many stalls, we went to our room and took some rest. It was almost 7o’clock in evening.   Then, the next day in morning we went to butterfly farm. We had seen there were many types and colors of butterflies which I have not been seen in Penang before this.  So, we took many captures of butterflies.  The different colours of butterfly had enraptured me.

There are cascading waterfalls and picturesque lakes in Cameron Highlands.  Actually, I didn't go to swim but I enjoyed the swish swashing of the waterfalls and gurgling waters that disturbed me.  The scenery was enhancing if you happen to be a nature lover.  We saw many anglers who are fishing in the lake. Then, we move on to hotels to check out and we left from Cameron Highland at 7'o clock and reached at Penang at 12 o clock.

We have a good time at Cameron Highland although we felt so tired with two days journey.  A visit to the Cameron Highlands was very entertaining and worthwhile for all nature lovers and rare opportunity to come cross the natural beauty.

SPM Model Essays Describe the first time you went on a camping trip. You should write about the activities at the camp and explain how you felt about the experience. During the school holidays last year, I participated in a 3-day camp organised by the Boy Scouts Association of my school. As it was the first I had ever taken part in, I was really excited about it before the trip. Apart from the scouts from my school, those from a school in a neighbouring town were also invited to attend. There were about 100 campers altogether, of which approximately half were from the other school. The campsite was a clearing of a forest. There was a clear stream nearby. We arrived on the site early in the morning of the first camp day. After that, we were divided into 10 patrols. Our first task was to set up camp. Our patrol leaders taught us how to pitch the tents. After the tents had been pitched, we prepared lunch. All of us helped to cut firewood, fetch water from the stream, make fires with...
